When you first launch Safari, it automatically searches for old favorites or bookmarks and will import them. If you want to import bookmarks from other browsers (Netscape and Explorer) in Safari you should follow the following procedure:



1. Put the bookmark or favorites files of older browsers in the default location:

For Netscape and Mozilla :
~/Bibliothèque/Mozilla/Profiles/default/bookmarks.html

For Explorer :
~/Bibliothèque/Preferences/Explorer/Favorites.html

2. Quit Safari
3. Open the Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/).
4. Type in "defaults delete com.apple.Safari NetscapeAndMozillaFavoritesWereImported" (Or do a copy/paste from between the "".
5. Click on Return
6. Type "defaults delete com.apple.Safari IEFavoritesWereImported"
7. Click on Return
9. Open Safari !

You are done.

In the bookmark meny you can select 'View all bookmarks'.
Dans 'Collections' vous trouverez un répertoire ' Imported from Netscape/Mozilla' and/or Favorites from Explorer'.
If those directories already exists they will be added.
