An amendment that doesn't seems to be an obvious change is the short name in Mac OS X. Indeed it is the main UNIX account, which can not be changed easily. There is a 'how to' on the Apple site, but it is easy to forget something.

In order to do everything correctly do the following by using a little utility

First, as always make a backup of every important file
On this occasion it is worth remembering that we can't change the name of the little house. If you did, you will notice at the next restart that it was recreated.
In this case, just rename the new and the old with the account name and then restart.

When done, read the pdf carfully and use it without Repair Mode (It is explained in the documentation)
